Where the Alps stand today is where the primordial ocean was more than 250 million years ago. Large quantities of salt were formed at that time. Salt which since then has been deep under the Alps and thus protected from all forms of environmental impact. The spring water carefully removes the salt from the rock, and then it is processed again to attain the highest purity and goodness. We season our ‘Alpine Salt’ crisps with this fine salt.
